PP-900 Printer Replacing PP-505
How to connect the PP-900 to replace the PP-505
The PP-505FE printer is discontinued. The PP-900 printer is compatible with the FE-800.
The PP-900 cannot be directly connected to the FE-800 in the same manner as the PP-505FE. Instead it must be connected with a GP-170 through an IF-2550 interface unit.

This configuration will all the printer to print both the depth, but also with date, time and position, with speed over ground (SOG) in the same way as the PP-505FE was able. If the additional information is not required the IF-2550 will be required.

The FE-800 does not require software update, and no settings changes are required. However the IF-2550 must be at V1.04 or later (standard in current delivered units)

IF-2550 DIP switches may require adjustment for baud rates.
PP-900 DIP switches must be changed for the FE-800 interface as outlined in the PP-900 Guide below.
