Reported issue : 

  • Equipment showing incorrect date (2003)
  • Issue occurred on 17 August 2022 (17/08/2022)

 

Solution : 

If you experience symptoms, update the equipment software to the latest version and set the date manually.

Note: Software updates do not reset the date and must be set manually.

 

Explanation : 

On 2nd January 2022 some Furuno equipment experienced a GPS Rollover event which caused the effected equipment to show the wrong date.

Any Furuno SAT-C devices that have not taken measures by January 2, 2022, symptoms will occur from August 17, 2022.
