SSAS - How to carry out a SSAS Test
To carry out a SSAS Test :
- Enable SSAS Manager Mode
- Press [F7] key to display "Options" menu
- Select "Test"
- Press [4] "Distress/SSAS Button Test"
- Select "Yes" to start the test
Whilst in Test mode, the display will show the message "Caution : Test Mode" and will sound an alarm.
You have 2 x Options :
- Test SSAS button with Transmission of Test Report
- Test SSAS button without Transmission of Test Report
Test SSAS button with Transmission of Test Report
- Locate and press 1 x SSAS button. The button will latch ON.
- Check the Terminal Unit display to see if the status has changed.
- The display should say "SSAS Unit works correctly"
- Wait for at least 30 seconds for SAT-C Terminal to process request.
- SAT-C Terminal will now transmit Test Message to all destinations set to "REAL + TEST" & "TEST ONLY"
- When you are satisfied the transmission has been successful, press the SSAS button again. The button will latch OFF. Transmission of the Test Report will now stop.
- Repeat test procedure for each SSAS button if required.
Test SSAS button without Transmission of Test Report
- Locate and press 1 x SSAS button. The button will latch ON.
- Check the Terminal Unit display to see if the status has changed.
- The display should say "SSAS Unit works correctly"
- Turn the button OFF within 30 seconds to avoid transmission of Test Report.
- Repeat test procedure for each SSAS button if required.
